More Than One Way to Heat a Driveway
When it Comes to Radiant Heated Driveway Systems,
you may Have More Options Than you Realize.
So you've decided that a radiant
heated driveway is in your future,
and may be asking, now what? If you're
looking for high-quality, reliable radiant heat
solutions, look no further than Warmzone. As
a trusted provider of quality radiant heat
solutions, Warmzone has made a name for itself by
offering the best selection and prices
available on radiant
snow melting systems and heated
floors, and for providing a creative approach to
finding solutions to meet the needs of its
customers.
Warmzone takes three general approaches to
heated
driveway installation. To keep paved
areas completely clear and free of snow and ice, radiant
heating cable can be
installed underneath entire
driveway and/or walkway surfaces. Other snow
melting options include installing
either an 8-10 foot wide strip of heating
cable, or two 24-inch wide tracks of radiant heat
cable up the middle or main traffic area of
your driveway.
WarmZone has built a reputation not only on
their approach to a variety of radiant
heat systems, but on their
state-of-the-art products. ClearZone cable is
durable resistance heat cable used to melt
snow and ice in harsh weather conditions. It is
built specifically for heated
driveways, sidewalks and other common areas that
require snow removal in the worst
conditions. Easy to install and easily
customizable, ClearZone
heat cable provides an effective,
energy efficient and environmentally
friendly snow removal solution that is virtually
maintenance free.
ClearZone electric radiant snow melting
cable is available in pre-configured sections,
or mats, for easy installation. These snow
melting mats are built specifically for
electric heated driveway systems, sidewalks and
other common areas. They're designed for
ease of installation and proper cable spacing for
optimum snow
melting efficiency, whether you choose to heat
an entire driveway, or target high-traffic
areas. They can be rolled out for safe
installation in new concrete pours, under pavers and
even in high-temperature new asphalt
projects.

Automated Snow Melting Systems
Simplify
Things with a Radiant Heat Snow Melting System
Every year that we grace this earth with
our presence, our lives seem to get more
complicated. We go from fighting our parents
when they tell us it is nap time to
sitting at our desks during the work day
dreaming of nap time. Busy lives leave
little time for peace and quiet. New
products come out every day designed to simplify
our lives and make one aspect of it a
bit more manageable. Some of these products are
gimmicks or passing fads (a flash in the
pan, my grandma would say) and others
prove to have staying power. One of these
simplifying ideas here to stay is a
snowmelt system. Snowmelt
systems are designed to simplify
your life and save you time clearing snow from
your driveway and sidewalks.
Radiant snowmelt
systems lie beneath the surface of your
driveway and/or sidewalk and work
automatically to keep your property clear of
snow. Busy people with hectic lives
across the country are jumping on the driveway
heating bandwagon because it not
only saves precious time but also precious money
as well. Over time you’ll save
money on snow blowers, shovels, snow gear,
ice melt, and other snow melting chemicals.
You’ll also be protecting your
driveway from harsh chemicals and plowing as
well as from ice and snow.
Snowmelt systems are energy efficient,
so once the initial investment of
installation has passed, your cost to run and
operate the driveway heating system is
minimal – especially since they are
programmed to run only when needed. The
automatic
sensors detect moisture and turn the
system on only when the snow starts to fall.
See, I told you it was simple. So go
ahead, simplify your life this year and
install a heated
driveway system.

Custom Heated Driveways
Of course,
you may not be ready to pour a new driveway right now.
Perhaps the thought of rolling out ClearZone
snow melting cables or mats over your existing
pavement does not appeal to your aesthetic
sensibilities. But don't rule out a heated
driveway in your future just yet. ClearZone radiant heat
cable is easily retrofitted into existing
surfaces. Using concrete saw-cut technology,
grooves can be cut into existing concrete or asphalt.
The ClearZone radiant heat cable is then laid into
the grooves and sealed with a special epoxy
topcoat for efficient, effective snow removal.

If you’ve ever stayed in a fancy hotel
and felt the warm tile beneath your feet
you’ve probably wondered how they heat the
tile.Well, it’s actually pretty simple
using radiant
heaters. Radiant heaters are economical, and easy to
install.This is how they work.
When a radiant heat system is
switched on, energy is forced through a
conductive material to create resistance or heat.
Majority of the time an electronic line-voltage
system is used. This system uses a special
thermostat that has an integrated GFCI breaker for
safety.
Dry radiant floor systems
allow even heating throughout the entire floor.
The heat radiates from the floor and warms objects near
the floor as opposed to forced hot air that
tends to rise to the ceiling. Radiant
heaters heat while reducing dust, draft, and noise
problems associated with forced air systems.
They can be more aesthetically pleasing than
other forms of heating because there are no heat
registers or radiators to obstruct interior designs.
Manufacturers claim radiant floor heating saves
20 to 40 percent on monthly heating bills as
compared to the other heating appliances.
Mostly the radiant heat panels are attracted to the sub
floor using approximately 10 screws per panel.
Manufacturer recommendations include screwing and
fastening adhesive when installing the panel. An
electrometric bonding material is placed in the grooves
prior to tube installation. The tube is pressed into
the groove flush with the surface of the panel. Though
the installation does not take much time, you may want
to consult the professionals at warmzone.com if
you’re considering installing your own radiant
heating system.

Radiant heaters,
as opposed to warm air systems (such as a forced air
unit heaters), deliver the source of heat to the floor
level, not the ceiling. And since warm air rises,
heating the floors proves to be the most efficient
means of heating living areas.
Radiant heaters
or radiant energy is the oldest form of heating used to
provide comfort and is the basis for all heating systems.
Radiant energy is totally pure radiation and is
absorbed by an object without physical contact with
the heat source or by heating the surrounding air, as is the
case with convective, forced air systems.
Under floor
heaters were first used by the Romans. Initially the
preserve of the rich, under floor heating became
increasingly commonplace in public buildings and
villas, particularly in the colder regions of the
Roman Empire. The Roman system was based on hypocausts,
comprising ducts that underlay the floor (itself built
on raised brick piles) and flues that were built into
walls. Hot air or steam from fires circulated up
through this system, warming the floor and walls, with heat
passing into the rooms.
More
specifically, the floor was laid out as series of concrete
slabs acting as radiant heaters supported by columns
of layered tiles, with a furnace at the bottom of one
exterior wall. By placing the fire here, the draught
would take the radiant heat under the floor, and up through
the walls to radiant heater chimneys located in the
corners of the room.
Today we
recognize the brilliance of the Romans and Koreans as early
adopters of radiant heating, as the technology is still a
desired method for delivering comfortable and
efficient heat in our homes. Now we have radiant
heaters using electric resistance cables that are
constructed of highly rated materials and feature
manufacturer warranties of up to 25 years.

With a name like
Warmzone, we have an unspoken obligation to live up to
the task of matching our customers to the best available
system of warmth and comfort. We strive everyday
to ensure that our products and our knowledgeable,
dedicated staff will leave memories of service that is
second to none, and products that will provide years of
enjoyment.
A brief history
of Warmzone allows consumers to understand why Warmzone
was created. Warmzone realized the growth in the radiant
heat industry was causing problems for consumer and
contractors due to the abundance of technical
information and product choices. Making the right choice for
a radiant heat system is crucial and carries serious
implications to its cost and effectiveness.
Serving as an intermediary between manufacturers,
contractors and consumers, Warmzone’s role is to
match individual needs of a project to a heating
system that makes the most sense. We strive to
match our customer’s needs with the finest
radiant heating systems available. Warmzone.com offers
non-biased, individualized solutions that factor the
installation, durability, performance and operational
investment as the key criteria for our customers.
There are several
variables that Warmzone considers when looking at a
project. Some of these variables include: square
footage, the type of floor covering, the amount of
heat needed for a given area, whether that heat will
be the supplemental or primary source, how well
insulated that environment is, and if it is a major remodel
or completely new construction.
Based on this criterion, we can then discuss the benefits of
a radiant heating system and which technology would be
most appropriate for a consumer in terms of
effectiveness, efficiency, operational costs and
overall upkeep and maintenance.
Because radiant
heat is relatively new in the United States, there is a
continuing need to educate consumers about a wide variety of
radiant solutions. In the interest of avoiding
confusion and finding the best possible application,
Warmzone has done most of the homework for our
prospective customers. Our professional consultants
learn the details regarding your heating goals and
then propose a system that can be easily installed and
will fit your budget. Warmzone continues to
strive toward being viewed as the premier radiant
provider. “We want customers to feel
confident in this market and receive honest
information and pricing regarding the best available
products,” says Brandon Weaver, Vice President
of Sales.
With so many
options in the radiant industry, Warmzone.com is helping
contractors and consumers with the pros and cons of each
system. Representatives of Warmzone suggest the
best possible system for any project. We are not
tied to any one manufacturer and will provide the very
best in pricing and information available. Warmzone
has a very direct relationship with select
manufacturers thus eliminating the ‘one size
fits all’ sales pitch normally received by
homeowners. Using various forms of technology,
Warmzone’s focus is to provide customers with
the most pertinent information in record time. We know this
is the key to establishing trust and long term
partnerships.
As heating costs
skyrocket, radiant heating continues to come to the
forefront. We at Warmzone excel in providing options
that are affordable, convenient and specifically
tailored to the needs of individual consumers.
As we match products with needs, we continually strive
to provide our customers with “warm,
pleasurable” heating experiences. After
all, feeling warm IS a wonderful thing!

If you’ve
been researching home
heating systems, chances are your head is
spinning right about now. It’s no wonder!
The number of types of radiant heaters available for
residences or businesses could make anyone dizzy in no time
at all. There’s really a lot of selection for
homeowners to choose from. Today we’ll discuss
the electric cable heating system kind of radiant
heaters. Electric cable heating systems are gaining
popularity in as radiant heaters and are ideal for
heating smaller areas (10-300 square feet) like
bathrooms, kitchens, and sun rooms. These systems are
comprised of a thermostat and a heating cable. On some
systems, the cable is be shipped as a large spool of
cable. These systems are oftentimes less expensive,
and give you the ability to space the cable how you want
and customize a layout that will heat every square inch of
your floor. Other systems have the cable attached to a
plastic mesh or tape to create a mat to maintain its
proper spacing.
Every available cable system is equally
effective, so when determining which radiant heater
system to purchase, you should look at the warranty of
the product, along with the ease of installation. Some
cables must be embedded in a separate layer of
concrete or mortar, whereas other systems can simply
be installed in the thinset.
Radiant Heaters Tip: When heating smaller
areas with a radiant heater, it is next to impossible
to beat the simplicity and price of an electric cable
heating system.

Recent research by Wavin Plastics into the
publics perception of under floor heating systems
has revealed more than a third of house buyers
would include this type of heating in their top
five wish list of luxury items when buying a new
home.
While findings show that
awareness of under floor heating systems
and its benefits are high, only a tenth of the
population have actually lived in a property
which has such a heating system. However, 37% have
experienced the comfort of these heating
systems either by visiting a home or hotel which has
the system installed.
There are many benefits to
under floor radiant heating systems, such as
warmth without the dryness of central heating,
comfortable to walk on with bare feet, as well
as being very energy efficient. Many times, once
people have experienced how fantastic radiant
heating systems are they want them in their own homes.
More and more people are realizing the benefits
of radiant under floor heating.
Surprisingly, these radiant
floor heating systems are now very
affordable. There is virtually a system out there
for every budget.If you’ve always
dreamt about the possibilities of having floor
heating, but always assumed it was too
expensive, you should contact the staff at warmzone.com
about economical floor heating solutions.

Sometimes can be
hard to narrow down what kind of radiant
heaters to install. There are dozens of products
available to purchase, and there are even more
companies telling you that their product is the best.
For many homeowners, electric cable heating systems,
often called line- or high-voltage systems, are
gaining popularity and are ideal for heating smaller
areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and sun rooms. These systems
are comprised of a thermostat and a heating cable.
These radiant
heater systems are oftentimes less expensive,
and give the ability to customize a layout that will
heat every square inch of your floor.
Every available radiant heater cable system is
equally effective, so when determining which system to
purchase, you should look at the warranty of the
product, along with the ease of installation. Some cables
must be embedded in a separate layer of concrete or
mortar, whereas other systems can simply be installed
in the thinset. Most radiant heater cable systems can
only be installed under tile. However, on others, if the
cable is embedded in mortar or concrete, any flooring
can be installed on top of the concrete.
Radiant Heaters Tip: When heating smaller
areas, it is nearly impossible to beat the simplicity
and price of an electric cable radiant heating
system.
